Paralympic Council of Malaysia (MPM) with the support of National Sports Council of Malaysia (MSN) and Malaysia Sports Commissioner (PJS) held a workshop entitle: “Empowering the National Sports Associations (NSA-Para)” at Banquet Hall, Casa 4, MSN, Bukit Jalil. Objectives of workshop was to update NSAs of current developments in MPM, Good Governance of NSAs and Status of Para SUKMA 2022.

2. Consolidate PCM – Structure + Admin
3. NSA Empowerment – Good Governance
4. Stakeholder Relationship – Close Communication

6. Maximise Involvement – Paralympic Sports & Events
7. Human Capital Development – Para Sports Community
8. Athletes’ Development – Before / During / After

Empowerment Workshop Phase 2 – Scheduled for June / July 2022

Good Governance of NSAs requires:

1. Compliance to PJS MYKB Requirements
2. Regulatory Requirements Under Sports Development Act 1997 (Pindaan 2018)
3. Compliance to NSA Constitutional Requirements
4. Development of Respective Sports
5. Conflict Resolution

Para SUKMA 2022:

1. To Be Organised By KBS – MSN @ Bukit Jalil Proximity
2. Late October 2022
3. Currently 10 Sports Being Considered
4. All Sports Required to Submit Working Paper Before 25 March – To Be Considered For Para SUKMA.
5. Majlis Tertinggi Scheduled For Late April 2022 For Final Decision
