Paralympic Games

Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, also known as the 2024 Summer Paralympics (French: Jeux paralympiques d'été de 2024), or simply Paris 2024, is an upcoming international multi-sport parasports event governed by International Paralympic Committee (IPC). It will take place in Paris, France, from 28 August to 8 September 2024. Paris 2024 will be the first in Paris history – First Summer Paralympics, and the second in France's history to host Paralympics Games; the first one was Winter Paralympics 1992, which were jointly held in Tignes and Albertville. 

Paris 2024 Paralympic Games will feature 22 Para Sport, with around 4,400 athletes who will compete in 549 medal events. The 22 Para Sports offered are – Para Archery, Para Athletics, Para Badminton, Boccia, Para Cycling (Road & Track), Para Equestrian, Football 5-A-Side, Goalball, Para Judo, Para Canoe, Paratriathlon, Para Powerlifting, Para Rowing, Para Shooting, Sitting Volleyball, Para Swimming, Para Table Tennis, Para Taekwondo, Wheelchair Basketball, Wheelchair Fencing, Wheelchair Rugby and Wheelchair Tennis. The Games is being organised by Organising Committee for Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games supported by French Paralympic and Sports Committee and the IPC.

Paralympic Council Malaysia (PCM) in collaboration with National Sports Council (MSN) will send our Malaysian Para Contingent to the Paralympic Games. The Malaysian contingent shall consist of athletes and officials who shall compete in 7 types of Para Sports, namely, Para Archery, Para Athletics, Para Badminton, Boccia, Para Powerlifting, Para Swimming, and Wheelchair Tennis.
