Paralympic Sports Classification briefing for Family Physicians & Physiotherapists was held at Kuala Lumpur Federal Territory Health Department & Kampung Pandan Paralympic Center of Excellence, Kuala Lumpur on 4 and 5 October 2022 respectively. The Ministry of Health Malaysia Family Health Development Division coordinated the briefing with Paralympic Council of Malaysia (PCM).

Objective of the program is to provide direct exposure to course participants regarding Paralympic Movement and classification techniques of Paralympic Sports. The course participants consisted of Specialists/Medical Officers & Physiotherapist from Ministry of Health Malaysia. First Admiral Dato Subramaniam Raman Nair (R), the Secretary General of PCM, presented lectures on the Evolution of Paralympic Movement, Development of Paralympic Council of Malaysia dan ParaSports Classification System. Dr. Ahmad Munawwar Helmi Bin Salim, Medical Officer from National Sports Institute (ISN), gave talks on "Role of ISN." One of the classifiers, Prof. Dr. Shamsul Azhar Bin Shah, Public Health Medical Consultant, UKM Medical Centre, Cheras, shared his experiences as an International Classifier and led a practical classification session with para-athletes.

During visit to Kpg Pandan Sports Complex, the participants were introduced to facilities related to ParaSports and had hands-on experiences with para-athletes in understanding
