Para SUKMA Games is a multi-sport competition for Malaysian athletes with disabilities. Prior to changing name to Para SUKMA for the 2018 edition, the Games was known as Malaysian Paralympiad and the National Games of Malaysia for the Disabled. The Games will take place in Klang Valley as from 1 to 6 November 2022. Due to COVID-19 pandemic, Johor 2020 SUKMA Para Games, which were originally scheduled from 16 - 22 August 2020, was postponed to 5 - 10 April 2021. Johor has withdrawn from hosting and now National Sports Council (MSN) will now serve as new host organisation with new dates.
Participation in this Games involves all 14 states and is regulated by Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS) and National Sports Council (MSN). Primary objective of the Games is to discover new talents for the development of Paralympic Movement in the country. Paralympic Council Malaysia (PCM) shall work in collaboration with MSN to handle technical aspects in the execution of respective sports with officials from respective national sports associations. It is estimated that a total 1,200 athletes in 10 types of sports, namely Para Archery, Para Athletics, Para Badminton, Boccia, Para Chess, Para Lawn Bowls, Para Powerlifting, Para Table Tennis, Para Tenpin Bowling and Para Swimming.

Anti-Doping Committee – Training Workshop & Briefing

The Anti-Doping Committee of SUKMA XX MSN Para Games 2022 held a training and briefing workshop on 31st October 2022 at Auditorium Hall, National Sports Council. The workshop was organised by Anti-Doping Agency Malaysia (ADAMAS) in collaboration with Ministry of Youth & Sports Malaysia. One of the invited speakers was First Admiral Dato Subramaniam Raman Nair (R), Secretary-General Paralympic Council of Malaysia where he delivered a lecture entitled “Anti-Doping Procedure – Handling Disabled Athletes”. The lecture focussed on the procedures and special attention that has to be given by Anti-Doping personnel when dealing with athletes with disabilities.
Welcome & Para Contingent Flag Raising Ceremony – Para SUKMA XX MSN 2022

Para SUKMA XX MSN 2022 will take place from 1 to 6 November 2022 located around the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur and State of Selangor. Participation in this Games involves all 14 states and is organized by National Sports Council (NSC) under the directive of Ministry of Youth & Sports. The main objective of the Games is to unearth new talent for the development of Paralympic Movement in the country. Paralympic Council Malaysia will work with NSC to handle technical aspects of the sports implementation with the help of experts from national sports associations.
It is estimated that a total of 1,200 athletes will compete in 10 types of sports, namely Para Archery. Para Athletics, Para Badminton, Boccia, Para Chess, Para Lawn Bowling, Para Powerlifting, Para Table Tennis, Para Tenpin Bowling and Para Swimming.
The Contingent's Welcome & Flag Raising Ceremony was held on the morning of 31 October 2022 at Casa 4, Bukit Jalil. The ceremony was officiated by YBhg. Dato' Jana Santhiran Muniayan, Chairman of Para SUKMA XX MSN 2022 Organising Committee and attended by Director-General Department of Youth & Sports (Ministry of Youth & Sports) Tuan Mohd Azhari Mohammad, Director-General National Sports Council Dato' Ahmad Shapawi Ismail and from Paralympic Council Malaysia – The President, Dato' Sri Megat D. Shahriman Zaharudin and Secretary-General, First Admiral Dato' Subramaniam Raman Nair (R).
Para SUKMA Coordination Workshop

The 2022 Para SUKMA (Para Games Malaysia) Coordination Workshop was held at The Pearl Hotel Kuala Lumpur from 6 – 8 September 2022. The workshop was organised by Kuala Lumpur Federal Territory Youth & Sports Department and Kuala Lumpur Federal Territories Para Swimming Association and in collaboration with Ministry of Youth & Sports Malaysia. One of the invited speakers was First Admiral Dato Subramaniam Raman Nair (R), Secretary-General Paralympic Council of Malaysia on 8th September where he delivered a lecture entitled Management of State Para Contingent giving guidelines and sharing experiences to prepare state contingents to participate in Para SUKMA.
