The 11th ASEAN Para Games Solo 2022 is an upcoming biannual multi-sport event for athletes with disabilities to be hosted in Surakarta (Solo), Indonesia from 30 July to 6 August 2022. Ten ASEAN countries plus Timor Leste are likely to send 1,285 athletes for 14 sports. All sports will take place in Greater Solo (11 in Surakarta, 2 in Karanganyar) except swimming, which will be hosted in Semarang.
The 14 sports offered Archery, Para Athletics, Para Badminton, Boccia, Chess, CP Football, Goalball, Judo, Para Powerlifting, Sitting Volleyball, Para Swimming, Table Tennis, Wheelchair Basketball and Wheelchair Tennis. The Opening and Closing Ceremonies will be held at Manahan Stadium. The Games is being organised by ASEAN Para Games Organising Committee (INASPOC) supported by National Paralympic Committee of Indonesia and ASEAN Para Sports Federation (APSF).
Paralympic Council Malaysia (PCM) in collaboration with National Sports Council (MSN) will send our Malaysian Para Contingent to the Games. The Malaysian contingent consists of 114 athletes and officials who shall compete in 11 types of sports, namely, Archery, Para Athletics, Para Badminton, Boccia, Chess, Goalball, Para Powerlifting, Para Swimming, Sitting Volley, Table Tennis and Wheelchair Tennis

Malaysian Para Contingent arrived at KLIA Airport on 7 August 2022, following the conclusion of the 11th ASEAN Para Games Solo. Malaysia won 36 gold medals, 20 silver medals, and 14 bronze medals. Finished fourth out of 11 countries in the medal standings. The 12th ASEAN Para Games will be held in Cambodia's capital, Phnom Penh.

Handover Ceremony of Jalur Gemilang to the Malaysian Para Contingent

National Sports Council in collaboration with Paralympic Council of Malaysia held the ceremony for handing over of Jalur Gemilang to the Malaysian Para Contingent who will compete in the 11th Solo ASEAN Para Games 2022 at MSN Bukit Jalil on 22 July 2022. The ceremony was officiated by YB Senator Dato' Sri Ti Lian Ker, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports.
Seventy-two para-athletes (72) are part of the contingent who will compete in 11 out of 14 para sports offered in the Games. Our athletes will take part in Para Archery, Para Athletics, Para Badminton, Boccia, Para Chess, Goalball, Para Powerlifting, Para Table Tennis and Wheelchair Tennis. The Games will take place in Solo, Indonesia as from 30 July to 6 August 2022.

CdM Para Contingent Malaysia Colonel Md Nor Azam Ariffin (R) visited the training facilities at the Paralympic Sports Centre of Excellence Kampung Pandan, Tennis Court, Jalan Duta, and Mini Stadium, Bukit Jalil to review the training sessions for the final preparations of meeting para athletes of Para Archery, Para Athletics, Para Badminton, Boccia, Para Chess, Goalball, Para Powerlifting, Sitting Volleyball, Para Swimming, Para Table Tennis, and Wheelchair Tennis on 18 July 2022. Seventy-three para athletes will compete in the Solo 2022 ASEAN Para Games, which will take place from 30 July to 6 August 2022. He also inspired the athletes, who are eager to take on the challenge and make Malaysia proud.
