Asian Youth Para Games 2021, Manama, Bahrain is the 4th edition of the multi-sport event for Asian youth athletes with disabilities that took place from 2 to 6 December 2021.
The Games featured a total of 30 Asian countries competing in 9 Para-Sports, namely, Para Athletics, Para Badminton, Boccia, Goalball, Para Taekwondo, Para Powerlifting, Para Swimming, Para Table Tennis, and Wheelchair Basketball. Over 700 young athletes of ages 13 to 21 competed in the games. Khalifa Sports City, a multi-use stadium in Isa Town, and Isa Sports City, the national indoor sports facility, hosted the games. The event was organised by National Paralympic Committee of Bahrain and with support of the Bahrain Government and Asian Paralympic Committee.
Paralympic Council Malaysia (PCM) in collaboration with National Sports Council (MSN) sent our Malaysian Contingent to the Games. The Malaysian contingent consisted of 29 athletes and officials who competed in 6 types of sports, namely, Para Athletics, Para Badminton, Boccia, Para Powerlifting, Para Swimming and Para Table Tennis. The Malaysian Contingent brought home 13 medals – 3 gold, 5 silver and 5 bronze.

All contingent members have arrived at the Center for Paralympic Sport Excellence in Kg. Pandan and have had their PCR tests completed today, with all of the findings being negative. So they are ready to leave on 28 November 2021. Before any contingent flies to Bahrain for the games, the Bahraini government requires this.
