Purpose of Workshop
1. This workshop is a continuation of Phase 1 previously carried out, with the main focus on strengthening the capacity and capability of the administration of the National Para Sports Associations (PSK).
2. This initiative aims to align governance, raise the level of professionalism, and establish sustainable long-term development strategies centred on para athletes.
3. In today’s increasingly complex era of modern sport, PSK must be better prepared in terms of organisational structure, resource management, and the delivery of athlete development programmes.
4. Therefore, this workshop serves as an important platform for the sharing of knowledge and experience.
Objectives of the Workshop
1. ISN – An exposure to the role of the National Sports Institute (ISN) in providing sports science support and injury rehabilitation to help enhance the performance of athletes under the associations.
2. ADAMAS – An exposure to the role of ADAMAS in combating the use of prohibited substances and promoting clean and ethical sport among athletes.
3. PJS – An exposure to the role of the Sports Commissioner’s Office (PJS) in regulating the Sports Development Act 2018, as well as updating PJS requirements – MYKB.
4. JBSN – Raising awareness among National Para Sports Associations (PSK) about the role of the Department of Youth and Sports (JBSN) in policies and programmes for overall sports development, with a key focus on the financial assistance system provided by the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS).
5. NSC – Providing PSK with knowledge to enhance participants’ expertise in sports management and strengthen national sports development in an
integrated manner.
6. Data Management – Raising awareness among PSK about their capability in sports data entry and information delivery through the media in a systematic and professional manner
7. PCM – Raising awareness among PSK about the Paralympic Movement and imparting knowledge of strategic planning to ensure continuous para sports development. Enhancing participants’ knowledge and skills in sports management while strengthening integrated national sports development –with NSC support.
8. Marketing & Communications – Raising awareness among PSK on the use of social media as a system to increase external awareness and visibility of Paralympic sports.
