TALENT IDENTIFICATION PROGRAM

The Perak State Level Talent Identification Program is organised by Paralympic Council of Malaysia in collaboration with the Perak State Youth & Sports Department and supported by Social Welfare Department and Perak State Sports & Recreation For Persons With Disability Association (PESRON Perak).

This program is one of the first steps in identifying talents to be elevated into national and international level on a sustainable cycle. Participants of this program are students from Special Education Schools and Charity Service Based NGOs in the area. Several new talents have been identified and JBS Perak will take further action for the transformation of those selected as para sports athletes.

Talent identification tests conducted are tools to determine the overall ability of the individual or "general sporting ability test". Tests are conducted to identify movement agility, throwing strength, jumping strength and sprint abilities.
