“Tambah Emas” Project

PCM’s first crowdfunding campaign, aptly known as “Tambah Emas” Project, which was launched on January 13th, 2019 by YAB Dato’ Seri Dr Wan Azizah Binti Wan Ismail, the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia with the Minister of Youth and Sport, YB Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, in attendance.

Collection from this campaign will be used to holistically develop Malaysian para sports from the grassroot level, as well as to help encourage the spirit of sportsmanship among our para athletes to strive for excellence at national and international paralympic competitions in the future, starting with the Manila ASEAN Para Games 2020, Tokyo Paralympic Games 2020 and Asian Para Games 2022 in Hangzhou, China.

Citi Global Community Day 2019

Citi Malaysia partnered with Paralympic Council of Malaysia (PCM) to host Citi’s 14th Global Community Day on 22 June 2019. Volunteers from Citi Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur and Penang managed to raise funds totaling to RM102,656.43 to PCM Crowdfunding Campaign “Tambah Emas”. Proceeds channel to Malaysian Paralympians’ training and development for Tokyo Paralympic Games 2020.
Citi is a global international partner of the International Paralympic Committee and supports Paralympic councils in 18 key markets.

Citi Malaysia has sponsored two Paralympians – sprinter, Mohamad Ridzuan Mohamad Puzi and swimmer, Muhammad Nur Syaiful Zulkafli who are world-class para athletes and have done Malaysia proud by bringing home gold medals from previous Paralympic games.

This is in line with its principal, Toyota Motor Corporation’s substantial support for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games as its first ever mobility partner, UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd (UMWT) able to support physically challenged people who wish to participate in para sports.

Under the 'Start Your Impossible’ banner, UMWT introduced a DUAL HEROES CONCEPT which describes a local athlete who is constantly fighting against dual odds - on the field, and in life. Through this concept, the Company has chosen Abdul Latif Romly, Malaysia’s first Paralympian who broke the T20 long world record 3 times, named as Sportsman of the Year in 2016 as its SYI Ambassador.

UMWT with its new initiative, organized their very first 8-km Toyota Outrun at Bandar Rimbayu, Kota Kemuning, Selangor on 17 November 2019. Proceeds totaling RM151,100.00 will be channeled to Paralympic Council of Malaysia’s "Fitness & Exercise with Person with Disabilities” Program. The Program is to train the Trainers so that they are well equipped to guide disabled persons who have sports potential.

Sporteqa is a web-based Sports Management System which provides event information page with easy sign up form together with online payment, e-certification and authentication solutions to the sports industry. The Paralympic Council of Malaysia’s (PCM) website (, has been built and developed using Sporteqa’s platform and part of Sporteqa’s full featured system.

The total system features multi-functional applications such as:

1. Sports Associations, Membership Management
- Athletes Membership Database.
- Digital Membership Card (DMC) / Loyalty Card.

2. Sports Event Management
- Individual/Team/Group Online Registration.
- Sports Certification & Authentication System. 

(Certificates are verifiable via QR code).

- Virtual Booth (E-Commerce platform).

By using Sporteqa system solutions, PCM will able to offer value added services and extend additional benefits to KBS, KPWKM, KPM, MSN, ISN, PJS, NSA, International & Regional Affiliates, National Para Sports Associations, Sponsors/Partners, Para Athletes, Coaches, Technical Official or Vendors.

UOW Malaysia KDU (OUWMKDU), formerly known KDU University College, is part of the University of Wollongong Australia’s global network. As part of one of its key initiatives under Youth Empowerment Plan called Fitspiration. Through Fitspiration, they hope to inspire and encourage youth to incorporate fitness into their lifestyle, and highlight the importance of physical health in a balanced lifestyle.

In line with this, OUWMKDU will be offering RM500,000.00 worth of scholarship to PCM as their means to support and promote the development of Paralympic athletes. This scholarship will be valid for 5 years, with RM100,000.00 distributed for each year only for UOWMKDU home-grown programs
