The Asian Youth Para Games, featuring over 1,200 athletes and officials from 30 countries, was officially declared open by the Minister of Youth and Sports Malaysia, Khairy Jamaluddin, in a simple but memorable opening ceremony at the Putra Stadium today.
DESPITE Malaysia’s worrying dearth of talent in athletics, the sport is still very much alive and kicking as far as the Paralympics world is concerned. While young track and field athletes continue to struggle in making a breakthrough at international level for the country, the same cannot be said of their Paralympic counterparts.
KFC Malaysia and the Paralympic Council of Malaysia (PCM) has formed a partnership for the upcoming Asian Youth Para Games (AYPG) 2013, scheduled here next month.
